Privacy policy
Who is responsible for your data
SQWRZ Limited, trading as Zingg, company number 12046958, Old Bank Building, East Street, Ilminster, Somerset, TA19 0AJ, is the data controller for the entry process and the operation of the draw. The business offering the prize is a separate controller for any marketing you consent to receive from it.
What we collect
- Your name, email address and, where a prize must be posted, your postal address
- Your entry record — which promotion, how many entries, and when
- Your consent choices
Why we collect it
- To run the promotion you entered — to record your entry, conduct the draw, notify the result and deliver prizes or rewards. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep a verifiable record — so a draw can be independently checked, and to meet our obligations under advertising codes. This is our legitimate interest in operating promotions fairly.
- To send you marketing — only where you have separately consented, and you may withdraw consent at any time.
Consent is never a condition of entry
You can enter any promotion without agreeing to receive marketing from us or from the partner. The two consents are separate and each is optional.
Who we share it with
We share your name and email address with the business offering the prize only if you have consented to hear from them. We share your postal address with them only where necessary to send you a prize or reward. We use service providers for email delivery, hosting and payment processing, who act on our instructions.
Winners
Advertising codes require prize winners to be identifiable. Where you win, we will publish your first name and county unless you ask us not to, and you may request that we withhold them.
How long we keep it
Entry records and draw results are kept for six years, so that any promotion can be verified after the event. Marketing consents are kept until you withdraw them.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy in a portable form. To exercise any of these, email mark@zingg.tech. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
